Doxxing of federal agents
For FBI, DEA, ATF, USSS, USMS, HSI, and other federal LE. Agency-side disclosure is shielded. Brokers are not.

Federal LE doxxing usually traces to one of two triggers. A high-profile case names you in a charging document or in coverage of an arrest. Or your name surfaces in a defense filing, a leaked discovery document, or a journalist's reporting on an investigation. From there, the home address comes off a broker page the same way it does for any other cop.
Agency-side, you're shielded. The Bureau, the agency, the Service — none of them publish your home address. The broker pipeline — the data flow from public records to commercial broker pages — runs around all of that. It scrapes property records, voter rolls, and old commercial data sets. Your DOJ-issued protections do not reach Spokeo.
What's at stake
Your home address, your spouse's workplace, your kids' school. For agents working sensitive cases — counterterrorism, organized crime, public corruption — the family is the first thing adversaries reach for.
Old addresses matter too. The apartment you rented during your first office assignment. The house you sold before the last transfer. Brokers maintain decades of address history, and the trail can connect a current cover identity back to a prior real one.
What to do right now
If you've been doxxed in the last 72 hours, work the doxxing recovery checklist and loop in your security officer immediately. Follow the doxxed-right-now playbook for the time-bucketed steps alongside agency procedure. Federal agencies have internal procedures for this — use them.
For exposure assessment, run a free scan. The Lieu Act covers federal judges, not federal LE — there's no equivalent statute for agents. The broker opt-out is the upstream protection.
How we handle it
We file opt-outs across 200+ broker sites and re-check every two weeks. We sweep the family the same way. For agents living in NJ, Daniel's Law (the state statute that lets covered LE force brokers to remove their home address) covers you and the household, and we file those demands.
