NYPD doxxing has a New York-specific shape. An incident hits the local press — Post, Daily News, NY1, a viral clip on X. The officer's name is in the article. Within hours, an account posts the home address. Most NYPD members live outside the five boroughs — Long Island, Westchester, Rockland, or across the river in Bergen and Hudson counties. The broker page pulls the address from the property record wherever you bought the house.
The LIRR and NJ Transit commute pattern shows up too. Doxxers post the morning train, the home station, the walk to the precinct lot. None of it requires anything beyond Spokeo plus a few minutes.
What's at stake
Your home address. Your spouse's job. Your kids' school district. The precinct you work out of, paired with your shift, paired with your home — enough for someone to wait for you on either end.
