TruePeopleSearch

A people searchsite that exposes your name, address, phone, and relatives. Here's what they collect, how to opt out, and why it matters if you're on the job.

What TruePeopleSearch collects

  • Full name and aliases
  • Current and prior addresses
  • Cell phone and landline numbers
  • Approximate age and date of birth
  • Relatives and known associates
  • Email addresses tied to your name

How to opt out yourself

Direct opt-out: https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/removal

  1. Open https://www.truepeoplesearch.com/removal in a private window.
  2. Search your name on the main TruePeopleSearch site first. Click the listing that matches you and copy that URL.
  3. Paste the URL into the removal form.
  4. Provide an email address and solve the captcha.
  5. Click the verification link in the email. It expires fast — within an hour or so.
  6. Allow 24 hours for the listing to drop.
  7. Repeat for any duplicate listings under your name. TruePeopleSearch sometimes has 2-3 records for the same person tied to different prior addresses.

What TruePeopleSearch knows about you

TruePeopleSearch is the cleanest, fastest, free people-search on the open web. No paywall. Search your name and the result page shows your current address, every prior address, your phone numbers, your relatives, and your associates inside one screen. No credit card needed. No login required. No friction.

That's by design. They monetize ads, not subscriptions. The model rewards traffic, and traffic comes from being the first result that gives someone what they wanted without making them sign up.

Why it matters if you're on the job

If someone wants your home address and they're not sophisticated, TruePeopleSearch is where they end up. It's the site a person-of-interest types in from a phone in a parking lot. Free, no friction, and the answer is the address line at the top of the page.

For first responders, this is the highest-priority broker to remove from. Other sites at least require a credit card or a sign-up. TruePeopleSearch is open. A parent at school pickup can pull your full record on the drive home, and you'd never know.

The associate listings are the part that hurts the family. TruePeopleSearch links you to anyone who's shared an address — meaning your spouse, your parents, an adult kid, an ex. Search any of them and you come up too.

How to opt out

The flow works but the verification window is short. Click the email link inside the hour or you start over.

TruePeopleSearch sometimes maintains 2-3 listings for one person, tied to different prior addresses. Removing one doesn't touch the others. Search again after removal and check.

Steps are in the optOutSteps field above.

How long until you're back

Three months. TruePeopleSearch refreshes hard, and they're tied to FastPeopleSearch through shared infrastructure. A re-list on one tends to bring back the other. We see new records appear faster after a move.

What we do that's faster

We file the opt-out, click the verification email when it lands, watch for re-listings every two weeks, and file again the day you reappear. We do FastPeopleSearch in parallel because the two are functionally one site. Same drill across 200+ broker sites.

Doing this for one broker is straightforward. Doing it for 200, on a continuous basis, is what we do.
