How to opt out yourself

  2. Search your name. Identify your record.
  3. Provide an email address.
  4. Click the verification link in the email within 24 hours.
  5. Allow 7-10 business days for the listing to drop.

What Classmates knows about you

Classmates was originally a reunion site — find old high-school friends, check yearbooks, see who's coming to the 25-year. Under PeopleConnect ownership, it expanded into a people-search broker. Your profile now includes name, school, graduation year, current address, prior addresses, and relatives.

The school-and-graduation-year detail is what makes Classmates distinctive. Most brokers don't have that. Anyone who knows roughly when you graduated can confirm your identity from a list of similar names quickly.

Why it matters if you're on the job

For first responders, Classmates adds an OSINT pathway most brokers don't open. An adversary who knows you went to a particular school can confirm your identity, and from there pull the rest — current address, family, work history. The high-school yearbook content (still hosted) sometimes includes photos that match your current appearance.
