PeekYou

A people searchsite that exposes your name, address, phone, and relatives. Here's what they collect, how to opt out, and why it matters if you're on the job.

What PeekYou collects

  • Full name and aliases
  • Social media accounts and online aliases
  • Current address
  • Phone numbers
  • Approximate age
  • Relatives

How to opt out yourself

  2. Find your PeekYou profile by searching your name on the main site. Copy the URL.
  3. Submit the opt-out form with the profile URL and reason.
  4. Provide an email address.
  5. Click the verification link in the email.
  6. Allow 5-7 business days for the listing to drop.

What PeekYou knows about you

PeekYou specializes in the social-media-to-real-identity link. Search a name and you get back social media handles, blog accounts, online forum usernames cross-referenced with the address and phone. That's the part that hurts — anyone who knows your usernames can confirm your real identity, address, and family.

Why it matters if you're on the job

For undercover work, federal cover identities, anyone whose work depends on online-vs-offline separation — PeekYou is high priority. Lower traffic than Spokeo, but the link from username to real address is the part that hurts.

How to opt out

Standard search-claim-verify-by-email flow. Steps in optOutSteps above.

What we do that's faster

We file the PeekYou opt-out and re-check every two weeks. Same workflow, every broker that has you.

Doing this for one broker is straightforward. Doing it for 200, on a continuous basis, is what we do.
