Stalking of social workers
For caseworkers, clinicians, and outreach staff — clients with grievances sometimes target the worker. Most states have weak public-records protections for this group.

Social work generates grievances. A client denied a benefit. A parent who blames you for a custody outcome. A family member who thinks you missed something. Most clients move on. A small fraction don't, and that fraction sometimes finds the worker's home.
The information path is the same as in every other stalking pattern. The client knows your full name from the case file or from your business card. They search it online. The broker pages do the rest.
What's at stake
Repeated contact at home. Surveillance. Threats that escalate slowly. Vandalism. For child-welfare and protective-services workers, the threat sometimes extends to family members — a client who can't reach you reaches for who's around you.
Social workers also face exposure most other professions don't. Licensing boards publish your full name. Your agency may publish staff directories. Many states list disciplinary actions with home addresses or other identifying details.
What to do right now
If you have an active stalker, notify your supervisor and your agency's safety officer if one exists. Follow the patient-stalker playbook — it walks the time-bucketed containment steps that translate cleanly to client-grievance stalking. Document the contacts. Pursue a protective order if your jurisdiction will support one for a non-domestic stalker.

CA workers who are also DV or stalking survivors qualify for Safe at Home — substitute mailing address through the Secretary of State.
How we handle it
We pay particular attention to prior-address listings, since a stalker who knew where you used to live can use the broker page to track moves.
The household and named relatives run through the same queue. The brokers link you all on the same page. Closing yours and leaving the family's open just shifts the target.
