Active duty
OPSEC for the family back home matters as much as for you.
Why this page exists
Active-duty service members usually have tight OPSEC training for themselves. The family back home often doesn't. Spouses, parents, and kids appear on broker pages with home address, school, and routine — and they're connected to the service member through public-records linkages.
What we sweep for you
OPSEC at the unit level handles you; nobody handles the family back home. We sweep the household — spouse, parents, kids — across broker sites and re-check biweekly. Base-housing addresses, off-base rentals, and your spouse's employer or volunteer roster (PTA, base support groups) are all separate seed events we track. The DEERS-linked dependent listings sometimes leak into commercial broker feeds through state vehicle-registration crossovers; we close that route too.
What you should do today, free
Have your spouse run a free scan on their own name. The result while you're deployed shows the home address, school district, and the relative chain back to you — most spouses haven't seen what comes up. That conversation is what actually moves the household to action. We handle the cleanup once you decide to.
